Al Asab Establishment Ethiopia is a subsidiary of Al Asab Establishment Abu Dhabi established in 2011.
Al Asab has a fully functional and multi-spectrum business setup in Ethiopia. Backed up with the concept of optimum utilization of in-country resources, Al Asab Ethiopia is engaged in full-scale project execution with International quality standards while employing a large number of local populations.
Al Asab has made a massive investment in developing the area and in the mobilization of a large fleet of construction equipment.
Al Asab has been awarded two major road projects by the Ethiopian Road Authority.
Arbereketi – Gelemso – Mechara - Micheta Road Upgrading Project;

- Brief Scope of Work
- Arbereketi - Gelemso project consists of upgrading of the existing 57.5km gravel road to Asphalt Concrete Surfacing standard. The total length of the road is 57.5 km. Moreover, the project covers the construction of six new bridges.
Gelemso – Mechara - Micheta Road Upgrading Project;
- Contract 2: Gelemso-Mechara-Micheta (45.9km)
- Type of Contract: Item Rate Contract

- Project Value: USD 46.73 Million
- Brief Scope of Work
- Gelemso – Mechara - Micheta project consists of upgrading of the existing 45.9km gravel road to Asphalt Concrete surfacing standard. The total length of the road is 45.9 kms including bridges.
Livestock development and export of meat products.
In the year 2016, Al Asab started venturing into farming and livestock development and export.
Plant Capacity
- The abattoir has a daily slaughtering capacity of 3,000 heads of goat or sheep and 200 heads of cattle as well as the plant is equipped with high quality, state-of-the-art machinery and daily capacity of 100 camels. There are 13 chillers, 3 blast freezers and 3 large cold rooms installed in the abattoir with the combined chilling and storage capacity of 400 Metric Tons of meat at any one time.
